Hi I’m Heike I love helping people connect the dots between the wounds of the past and how those wounds may be limiting your present and future. Healing is not easy. Staying stuck in our wounds is also not Easy. I offer a space where you don't have to hold it all together. If you have been carrying the weight of past experiences-whether loud and overwhelming or quiet and long-standing-you may know how deeply the past can shape the way you feel, relate and move through the world. What To Expect My work is grounded in trauma-focused therapy, with a gentle, person-centered approach that honors your pace, your story, and your nervous system. In our work together you can expect a calm, steady presence and a space where all parts of you are welcome. We will build safety first so that your healing feels safe and manageable. I have an office for in-person sessions in Wilmington, NC as well as virtual telehealth appointments for people outside of the Wilmington area or those that prefer virtual sessions. I am a Medicare Therapist and I serve all of North Carolina via telehealth. It is hard to be vulnerable, I get that! That's why I offer a free 15 minute call to explore what you want from therapy and to determine if we can work well together.
